VELO colored with butterfly pea flower extract. Pour it into something acidic, like lemonade, and watch the whole glass turn purple.
The science: butterfly pea flower is a natural pH indicator. Citrus lowers the pH of the drink, and the color shifts to violet.

Colleen & Riley
VELO started at a dinner table in Boston, with a mother and daughter asking why vodka had to burn. They wanted something super smooth, made for a new generation of drinkers who care about how they feel the next day.
They took that question to GrandTen Distilling in South Boston and tasted their way through 17 iterations until the answer was in the glass.

Colleen and Riley were out to dinner in Boston when their server came to the table with Pedialyte and ginger ale. Colleen assumed she was sick. She was hungover. The conversation that followed turned into a question neither of them could let go of: why does vodka still have to bite and burn?
They wanted something super smooth, made with sustainability and clean, feel-good wellness in mind. In Riley's words, they wanted to stop drinking their parents' vodka.
Seventeen tries in South Boston
They took the idea to GrandTen Distilling in South Boston and refused to settle. It took 17 iterations to reach the final formula: triple distilled from corn, gluten free, and smooth enough to sip. They named it VELO, short for velocity, because they wanted a name anyone could say and a brand that moves fast.
A family business, poured by women
VELO is mother and daughter owned and run, from the first tasting in South Boston to every bottle on the shelf. Riley calls working with her mom really fun. Building VELO together is the point.

- 2 oz VELO Butterfly Vodka
- 0.75 oz fresh lemon juice
- 0.5 oz elderflower liqueur
- 0.5 oz simple syrup
Shake with ice and strain into a chilled coupe.
Garnish: Lemon twist

- 1.5 oz VELO Stardust
- 3 oz prosecco
- 1 oz club soda
Swirl the Stardust bottle to activate. Build over ice in a wine glass and stir once.

- 2 oz VELO Vodka
- 1 oz Atomic Black coffee liqueur
- 1 oz fresh espresso
- 0.25 oz vanilla syrup
Shake hard with ice and strain into a chilled martini glass.
